Guru Bob Breen is a master martial arts instructor with over 50 years' experience at the highest level. 

He has captained national teams in Karate and Eskrima.

A legendary coach, he focuses on helping others achieve, and become the best they can be.  

As a full instructor in JKD and Kali under Dan Inosanto, he's regarded by many as the 'godfather' of European JKD. 

A pioneer his whole career, Bob is the creator of 4D Combat, an evolution of the best fighting systems in the world.

Bob instructs at the Breen Legacy Academy in Hoxton, and delivers seminars and workshops worldwide.


History

Guru Bob Breen started Karate in 1966 and became one of the first black belts in the UK in 1970. He fought nationally and internationally, captaining the national team on numerous occasions.

He was a renegade trailblazer, incorporating groundwork and weapons early on.

One of the initiators of Full Contact, he moved on to pioneer Jeet Kune Do (JKD) and Kali throughout Europe.

He hosted Dan Inosanto from 1979 and introduced seven different Eskrima systems into the country.

A full instructor in both JKD and Filipino Kali, he is considered by many to be the 'godfather' of these arts in Europe.

He captained and fought in the First World stick fighting championships in the Philippines in 1989 and coached the successful GB team in 1992.

His students have gone onto become leading instructors and competitors, with many achieving Master and Grandmaster rank.

He is the creator of 4D Combat, an evolution of the best fighting systems in the world. 4D Combat covers the four areas of stand-up combat: striking, clinching, weapons and group attack.
